New Large-Diameter Nozzle Pro PCTG Profiles Available

Brand new Pro PCTG profiles are available for Bambu Studio and OrcaSlicer for the full, current lineup of Bambu Lab 3D printers.

These include first-of-their-kind profiles for 0.6mm and 0.8mm nozzles. Print exceptionally strong, tough parts with fantastic speed and print quality in Pro PCTG.

Those of you with 0.4mm nozzles are not left out, either! There is a new, vastly improved profile for the 0.4mm Bambu 3D printers as well.

What's so great about larger diameter nozzles?

Not only is it possible to print thicker layers, but you can also print extrusion widths much greater than with a 0.4mm nozzle. 

This means fast prints with fewer layers and big, wide extrusions for exceptional part strength.

What has changed about the 0.4mm profile?

Quite a few little tweaks and changes, but the most notable differences are improved retraction and cooling settings, allowing for much greater detail on small features, overhangs, bridging, and more.

Another notable change is increased volumetric throughput from 6 mm^3/s to 12 mm^3/s. What has made this change possible?

Increasing the hotend temperature from 255C to 260C greatly improved the material flow rate. This is best paired with an outer wall speed of 50 mm/s to dial in the visual appearance of the part to ensure consistent, glossy finishes while balancing faster printing times.
